COURTESY CALL
As we enter the first step towards our community exposure, we were welcome by the Government Officials of Diplahan.
We are thankful for our preceptor, Dr. Michael Van Site for introducing us to Mayor Wilster Palma as well as to our seniors assigned in Barangay Lindang and Barangay Tinongtongan.
We will continue to strive forward and work towards building Gaulan a healthier community.
Deworming Program
As part of DOH program, we were invited by our Barangay Health Workers to participate in their Deworming program this January.
Together with them, we went to Gaulan’s Elementary School and their High School Institution.
We are truly grateful for this experience. As future physicians, we are delighted to participate and improve our practical skills through this type of medical mission.
House-to-House Survey
One of the key activities during the first exposure is to perform an in-depth survey on households of Barangay Gaulan.
The survey consist of questions aiming to identify potential gaps in the health delivery system of Barangay Gaulan.
The survey lasted for one to two weeks with the team being able to cover 288 households and 1085 individuals.
